It is evident that big SUVs are the talk of town, as they perform multiple tasks for their owners at a same time without a hitch. They command dominance over the roads, do a bit of-roading needed, and lot more. ‘Chevrolet’s Trailblazer SUV’ the next word for such perspective buyers, is now spied in a new trim – 2WD automatic.
The absence of 4WD selector made us to drive at this conclusion. Under the bonnet, option of 2.8-litre Duramax diesel is confirmed for it to churn out the max output of 197bhp. A six-speed auto is the option it gets sold with in Thailand; the same is also speculated to get launched here. However, a manual option too lugs the list, where it drives the output from a 2.5-litre diesel engine; one can expect it at a later stage for India.
Hence, General Motors will bring the Trailblazer with 4WD as CKD to gain the cost benefit over its rivals. What make this SUV advantageous over others are the dimensions. Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport must better watch out for it.
