Citroen still not harked off from the country – found doing test rounds one more time in Tamil Nadu.
It’s the Citroen C4 Picasso that was wearing the TN 19 number plate which is RTO code for Chengalpattu, the place where Mahindra has its Research Center (Mahindra Research Valley).
However, it cannot be understood what the connection between the Citroen and Mahindra is. Are there anything going on a concrete note, or whether this test is for the purpose of some varied technical development. C4 spotted is a left hand drive version, and belongs to the older generation, where the second generation C4 had arrived at 2013 Geneva Motor Show (yet to be seen on Indian roads).
Another possibility to this spy-shots can be slotted in the way as Peugeot was trying to re-enter the Indian market, but for some unknown reasons, the move has been put on hold for some unknown reasons.
It was noted, the Peugeot-Citroen alliance was about to get back to the pavilion (as what the news said days back) by providing Maruti with the 1.6L diesel mill for S-Cross, excluding Fiat for the same. And it continues to be a rumor for now.
Hopefully, the C4 is a 5 seater MPV. 7 seater Grand version is also available.
