The electric vehicle market is growing with every passing day. It is a well-known fact that electric vehicles are the future. There are many electric vehicle startups that have cropped up across the country and across the world. One of these startups is Dao. The brand is based in China and primarily manufactures electric scooters.
Dao has now launched the 703 electric scooter in the Indian market. The DAO 703 is unique when it comes to its design aspect. The entire body panel of the scooter is made of one piece. Up front are two LED headlamp units, one at the bottom of the front apron and the other above it. The DAO 703 electric scooter comes loaded with features.
The Chinese brand first announced its entry in India at the 2019 Electric Vehicle Technology Expo and aspired to begin pan-India operations by mid-2020. The pandemic may have played a spoilsport in the EV company’s strategy, but it seems things are back on track. Dao has just launched four e-scooters: 703, Vidyut 106, Vidyut 108 and Zor 405, a B2B fleet e-scooter. Though the e-scooters have been launched, the prices haven’t been revealed.
The Vidyut 106, Vidyut 108 and the Zor 405 are powered by a 60V 23Ah LFP Li-ion battery pack with a claimed range of upto 80km. All the three scooters employ a 250watt BLDC hub motor with a top speed of 25kmph. So, one doesn’t require a license to ride these e-scooters.
