Everyone had seen the Datsun GO Plus MPV at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 in India, but for the first time the spy-shots confronted on internet revealed, how it would look when raveled on Indian roads amongst the other vehicles.
Measuring in length at 3,995 mm, less than four meters, to gain advantage of the road authorities norms of vehicles with lesser length. The snapped test mule was spotted in Chennai and it was clicked apparently it was moving slickly due to traffic.
However, the Datsun GO Plus MPV is brand’s second offering for India, first is the GO hatchback, where both the products of Datsun are based on the same platform of Nissan Micra.
Under hoods, it will be the 1.2-liter petrol engine of GO to gain recognition in the segment of small car for meeting excise benefits, which now will be charged at 8% rather than 20% for the bigger engine.
68 PS and 104 Nm of torque would be the figures expected from this Datsun MPV, mated with a 5-speed gearbox. Undoubtedly, when it is in the rage of gaining India’s most affordable MPV tag, then a CNG trim option can be no exception. The Datsun GO hatchback returns 20.63 kmpl with the same engine.
Just to be a bit informative, GO Plus is announced in Indonesian market in four variants: D, A, T and T-Option. Prices range from 85 million Rupiah to 102.9 million Rupiah (Rs 4.33 lakh to Rs 5.24 lakh).
