Relining ‘Datsun’ in the form of hatchback GO was imaginable, but taking that to an MPV level seems to be quite surprising.
However, the Nissan’s aggressiveness had notched all the cost-efficient derivatives to be rolled out in the market. The new product which the Japanese carmaker had announced to launch after GO is the hatchback (GO) based MPV “GO+” (GO plus). GO+ is a 5+2 seater MPV. It has the front similar to the hatchback GO, but the lines on side are totally of the new MPV.
It is officially said to be powered by a 1.2-litre engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The cosmetic tweaks inside will be most of the bare-basic, but not that extreme, which may drive away a one from the showrooms.
However, the carmaker had unveiled it in Indonesia, officially it will be built alongside GO at the Nissan’s Purwakarta plant there. Both of the model plates will be priced lower than 100 Million Indonesian rupiah.
The duos are expected to see the launch by 2014.
Most probably the dimension measuring 3995mm long, 1635mm wide, 1485mm tall and 2450mm wheelbase makes a probability that it may fall on Indian shores too. Hence, we see the pricing of it too will be attractive to give sleepless nights to most of the vehicles here.
