The introduction of Eleron SUV, a sports utility vehicle and Tia, a 2-seater by DC Design will fulfill the desire of shoppers of stylish and sleek vehicles. In a highly aspirational society like ours, it’s always not possible to fulfill our dreams. For example, nearly all of us go for brand new super cars though we might not be able to afford them. Capitalizing on this psyche DC Design has come up with a groundbreaking idea whereby an enthusiast can possess something that resembles a Ferrari, Lamborghini or a vehicle that will make them stand out in the crowd. DC Design is quite famous for designing vehicles and counts many biggies of Indian film industry amongst its clients. Now, it has built a vehicle from scratch.
At 2014 Auto Expo, DC Design introduced a stunning sports utility vehicle, the Eleron. The introduction was done by Kareena Kapoor, a Bollywood actress in the presence of huge crowd at DC pavilion. Speaking on the occasion, she said it gives me immense pleasure to be a part of such remarkable introduction. The company is clearly the most promising and prominent name in the Indian auto design industry. Both Tia and Eleron are spectacular looking vehicles and are sure to create a buzz amongst Indian aficionados. Eleron is basically an open Targa-topped sports utility vehicle designed and engineered around a space frame with roll cage. It is claimed to provide the top speed of 200km/h with hundred coming up in around 9 seconds.
Motivation for the DC Eleron comes from a Ford-sourced EcoBoost 2.0 liter powerplant, which is good for producing 265 horsepower and 360 newton meters of torque. Its body is constructed of carbon composite; however the vehicle still weighs 2500kg leaving one to wonder wherefrom the sports utility vehicle gained so much weight. The Eleron’s design is on-the-face and radical, while the suspension features strong air suspension at the back and double wishbone at front. It rides on 22-inch wheels and features a large diameter and ventilated and 4-pot drilled discs with Bosch Antilock Braking System with Electronic Stability Program.
The DC Eleron provides comfortable seating for four passengers, thanks to its comfy bucket seats and is available for the price of Rs. 35 Lakhs. The production will start sometime in 2016 and the design company will produce just 500 units.
