Mahindra and Mahindra had always delighted us with the news articles that are being sent to all the media houses. Though, whether it may be of its ‘vehicles’ or the ‘management personalities’, the Press Release from the house of M&M leaves no one unhappy in the context. This time on our official board, we got that, Dr. Pawan Goenka is now being elevated to the post of Executive Director, M&M. Company made this today at its headquarters in Mumbai. We also got to learn from it, Dr. Pawan Goenka is the first Executive Director of the Board since the last appointment made to the list dating back to 1992. He will handle the designated post of Executive Director and President (Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors).
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director and President (Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors) said, “I am truly honoured and delighted to join the Mahindra Board. I am fortunate to have been guided by one of the most respected Boards in the country, and have worked with an excellent team in my twenty years at Mahindra. I look forward to the future with a greater sense of responsibility, and will strive to contribute my best to meet the long term aspirations of all stakeholders.”

Learning about the past experiences of Mr. Goenka, it is surfaced that he joined M&M in 1993 as General Manager R&D and made the company’s Auto Sector R&D into a potent product development organization. He also took responsibility for the development of several new products including the iconic Scorpio SUV.
After spending some years in the company, he is managed to get to the post of Executive Vice President-Product Development in September 2001 and, was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Automotive Sector in April 2003. By September 2005 designation of President (Automotive Sector) was offered to him, and in April 2010 he became President (Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors).
The appointment as Executive Director and President (Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors) will come into effect from September 23, 2013.
