Now you don’t have to wait for the price or the specifications of the final edition Ducati 1299 Panigale R. A Ducati dealer in the UK has revealed most the important details about the bike.
The bike is set to be unveiled on July 7, during the Laguna Seca Moto GP weekend in California. The Panigale will be priced at £34,995 in the UK. That means it will cost less than half of its most expensive iteration, the limited edition 1299 Superleggera. Ducati had priced the Superleggera at £72,000. But the pricing of the Panigale in no way undercuts the specs in comparison to its limited edition cousin.
It will deliver just 5.6 PS and 3.3 Nm lesser than the Superleggera. The Panigale’s twin-cylinder engine will deliver 209.4 PS and a peak torque of 104.7 Nm. But there could be a noticeable drop when it comes to overall performance. While the Panigale is a shade less powerful, it will weigh 12 kg more than the Superleggera. The dealer also said deliveries of the bike are likely from September. There is no information yet on the number of units Ducati has produced. But going by the industry practice, the number should not be very high.
