Auto manufacturer Ford India has registered 48.23% augmentation in its monthly sale facts during the last month.
The company sold around 12,338 vehicle units during the month of July owing to newly introduced compact SUV EcoSport.
Ford India posted sales of around 8,323 vehicle units during the same period of 2012.
The company’s domestic sale facts also increased by 26.15% to hit 7,867 vehicle units during the month under review as compared to 6,236 vehicle units during the corresponding period of last year.
Ford India exported 4,471 vehicle units in July 2013 as against 2,087 vehicle units in July 2012, an increase of more than two-fold.
While talking about the sales recital, Mr. Vinay Piparsania, Ford India Executive Director, (Marketing, Sales and Service) stated, “In spite of the near-term complexity in the financial system, our clients have put their faith in the urban sport utility vehicle EcoSport and with the Figo status as the top notch premium compact vehicle in the high-status JD Power India vehicle reliability research 2013, we are pleased to attain the maximum-ever sale facts in our record this month.”
The auto maker stated that its new launch bagged 30,000 bookings during the first seventeen days after its introduction on June 27.
In the month of July, Ford India started out shipments of the EcoSport to the top 3 markets including Mexican market, South African market in addition to Aruba.
The well known auto giant kicked off a dedicated vehicle parking yard at the Chennai harbor with the aim to handle the augmented export vehicle volume in an efficient manner.
