An ethanol powered version of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been launched in India at Rs.1.20 lakhs. The bike has been rechristened Apache RTR 200 Fi E100, the bike is Rs.9000 more expensive than its petrol powered cousin.
The bike will initially be available in only three states – Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. The bike is powered by a 197cc single-cylinder engine which makes roughly 21HP of power and 18.1Nm of torque. But there is a big question mark on the bike’s usability.
The bike cannot run on regular petrol and there is still no ethanol fuelling station in India. So we are not sure how many units of this bike will actually be sold. See more from TVS.
