Jaguar continues British Villains storyline with the new film starring Tom Hiddleston and the F-Type coupe for North America. Video and other details here.
F-Type Coupe fever doesn’t seem to have gotten over the Jaguar. Laying down one more to it on internet, the Jaguar of North America confirmed its continuation of “British Villains” marketing campaign by launching a new video clip featuring the Tom Hiddleston.
Tom Hiddleston gave his two-minute performance to the Jag for their upcoming car (F-Type coupe) in North America which is slated to go on sale by May 2014. The brand had also gone berserk even with the hashtag #GoodToBeBad meant to be used for the campaign.
The “British Villains” campaign captivates that same vision on canvas which the Brits have made as a landmark in the industry. So, assimilating both the best of British (we mean the F-Type Coupe and the villainous characters) will definitely going to boost the sales, as what the Jaguar thinks for North American market.
“The Art of Villainy” starts with Hiddleston driving the car F-TYPE Coupe, while listening to the words of John of Gaunt in Richard II by William Shakespeare. He then takes the note further and explains it in his own words, which is then tracked to actual life – brought to the character by the sights and sounds of a Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe. The clip ends on a note with another Shakespearean quote from Richard II—this time spoken by Hiddleston as he drives through London: “This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.”
“The enormous success of the ‘Rendezvous’ Super Bowl commercial demanded a creative follow-up and, with ‘The Art of Villainy,’ we are able to continue to weave this dynamic storyline with a two-minute film that echoes the artful manner of the campaign’s debut TV spot. In reprising his villainous role, Tom continues to develop his very popular character and create a meaningful impact for the brand,” said Jeff Curry, Brand Vice President, Jaguar North America. “In pairing Tom’s recitation of the classic words of England’s most famous playwright, William Shakespeare, with the British sophistication of Jaguar, we are able to showcase the new F-TYPE Coupe in an unforgettable manner.”
In the other words, the video clip of two and a half minute posted below will be slaughtered into four different sections to replenish ease in the marketing trivia through various media channels, and also to explain the features of car in detail. In specific, the video will tell its fans how to: “Sound Like a Villain,” “Drive Like a Villain,” how to have “Villainous Style,” and why it’s important to always “Have a Plan.” Do watch it!
