Figo Aspire of Ford has way to go for the launch, where it emerged amidst the fanfare that Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar is appointed as brand ambassador of the model.
Farhan Akhtar’s youth and aspiring attitude must have bagged him this endorsement. His last big hit, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, remained a huge crowd puller especially the youths due to the said reason. Aspire, sharing almost the similar brand attitude couldn’t find anyone perfect than Farhan, which is by any means we would love to see this magnificent actor soon in the commercials of Aspire.
However, the production of Figo-based sedan is already commenced at Sanand facility in Gujarat, which by any means states launch could happen in June or July 2015.
Buyers of Figo Aspire are designated to get three options of engine to choose from – a 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre petrol, alongside the 1.5-litre diesel. All of them will get manual transmission as standard, but as far as the speculations are concerned the 6-speed dual-clutch auto may find its way on the top-end trim of 1.5L petrol as optional.
Hence, in rivalry, the compact sedan of Ford will chase the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Swift Dzire and Tata Motors Zest on an immediate note.
