Fiat showcased the 500L Vans concept at 2014 Vans US Open of Surfing.
Gotten the inspirations from Mini and Beetle to be taken on the beach, this Fiat too is targeted to beach bummers who adore sea shores more than the snow-clad mountains. Designed with interesting front grille crusted with four rings of LED daytime running lights, placed below them are the usual fog lights providing optimal lighting.
Fiat has taken inspiration from the well-known producer of shoes VANS, who is popular among skaters and surfers.
The 500L Vans concept is done with the three-tone exterior paint scheme, where the roof is eloped with ANS’ checkerboard pattern. A rack holding two surfboards along with additional equipment is added on the top.
Cabin is interesting to have a look into. Dashboard is plastered with various VANS stickers, and same is wrapped around the seats as well. The storage bins and pedals are given covering the popular waffle sole tread pattern to complete the package.
Fiat will keep it on display till August 3. Under hoods it is the gasoline engine of 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, MultiAir delivering 160 bhp (119 kW) through a 6-speed manual transmission.
