Fiat 1.3 liter MultiJet is a favorite in the market and has also powered cars other than its own brand. Now proving a benchmark to the industry, Fiat has built 5,00,000 MultiJet engine till date, while the final one was rolled out from Fiat Powertrain Technologies of Bielsko-Biala, Poland.
Since it surfaced in the industry, many awards had been bestowed to it on various platforms and one which we remember is Engine of the Year Award 2005 for 1.0 – 1.4 liter capacity.
1.3 liter MultiJet comes in the versions of 75 hp and 95 hp. Being a 1,248 displacement with 4 cylinder, it also turbocharge higher end of the bespoken power variant.
Fiat had applied this 1.3 liter MultiJet on the model plates namely Fiat Punto, Fiat 500, Fiat 500L, Fiat Panda, Fiat Strada, Fiat Florino, Fiat Qubo, Fiat Doblò, Chrysler Ypsilon and Alfa Romeo Mito.
In addition to these numerous badgings, other car brands are also its fanatic; meanwhile Fiat is enjoying a good share of market in spite of not being a well performer on the end of “car-sales”.
Overall, as per to us, Italians should thank for the skyrocketing petrol prices; otherwise this would have been remained in the blue prints or slideshows itself, and not in reality.
