Fiat’s aggression for launching Jeep in India seems to have got a bit delayed, but the aggression for penetrating deep in the Indian market hadn’t taken a backseat yet. The Italian carmaker this week launched three more showrooms in Mumbai, where earlier this year it too had opened a one in Thane.
Specifically, the new showrooms of Fiat India in Mumbai are located at Andheri East (Torrid Motors), Prabhadevi (Esskay Motors) and Navi Mumbai (Balaji Cars).
The Torrid Motors showroom is spawned over 3,000 sq ft for the display area and 15,000 sq ft for workshop; the Esskay Motors showroom display usurps 8,500 sq ft and 18,000 sq ft of workshop area; while the Balaji Cars dealership stretches its display in 3,500 sq ft and allotted 20,000 sq ft of area for the workshop.
The said three new showrooms of Fiat have concluded the total numbers of carmaker’s showroom in India to ‘90’, under the terms of terms independent showrooms.
In addition, Fiat also has planned to unleash 10 new exclusive dealerships by 2013 end.
Speaking at the venue, Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, Fiat-Chrysler India, said, “Fiat India views Mumbai as a very strategic market and the inauguration of two exclusive dealerships in Mumbai and one in Navi Mumbai are in accordance with our strategy to capitalise on this potential. We are confident that our association with Torrid Motors, Esskay Motors and Balaji Cars will play a crucial role in identifying the customer base and enhancing customer experience in their respective areas of Mumbai.”
