India growls to be a revving spot for the SUV or compact SUV lovers. The line-up of Sports Utility Vehicles for the nation is going berserk comparatively to other markets.
Joining the fray at latest is Fiat Punto based SUV which was reported to be rivaling the Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport on an important note. Hence Cross Punto’s spy-images are leading a story for Italians to have delved their hatchback into some off-road looking punk with plastic mouldings and such.
Originally, Fiat seems to have tagged this SUV as “Punto Adventure”, as ‘Adventure’ been embossed on the rear-mounted spare wheel. And a handle is also tagged to it for lending an aesthetical support.
Confronting other changes, the rear plastic bumper is housing a reverse guide light and reflector strips. Technicalities are learnt to remain the same, as no differential being spotted connecting the front wheel drive layout of car with the rear ones for ‘4×4’ badge.
Powers meant to flow from a 1.3L Fiat’s MultiJet diesel engine in tunes of 75 and 90 PS, and the 1.4L FIRE petrol engine. We speculate it to debut at the India’s 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
