On 1st April Honda car India has updated its official website with the upcoming compact Sedan – The Amaze, the first ever diesel car out of the stables of Honda India.
They also revealed information on the 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine that is to power the Amaze. And now talking on the brilliant combo of mileage and power output that Amaze intends to offer to the buyers, the first official commercial has been aired in India.
As per the company’s figures with a power output of 100ps (98.6 bhp), the 1500cc engine is to be the most powerful amongst the engines of its segment. An exciting fact is though it houses a 1.5 liter engine, you get in return a 25.8 kilometer per litre (kmpl) that shall make it the most efficient car in the country. Already known for its petrol engine’s being world class quality, Honda with the new 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel mil will definitely be the diesel revolution.
The design of the 1500cc i-DTEC is specially designed for the Indian market with (recently launched in Europe) architecture used of the 1.6 liter diesel engine. This hardware not only reduces weight and friction but returns power and optimizes fuel efficiency.
Commencing from 1st April 2013, Honda has gotten a kick start on the bookings across all the dealers in the country. The official launch is set for 11th april. Available in both variants, Amaze diesel is set close to Rs.6 lakhs while the petrol is priced at Rs.5 lakhs.
Amaze is definitely set to target the leader of the segment – Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
