Ford India recorded an 83% increase in sales last month, selling 13,297 vehicles in combined domestic exports and wholesales, unlike 7270 units marketed in the corresponding period last year. Domestic sales stood at 6651 vehicles in April, up 66% from 4003 vehicles, while the automaker exported 6646 vehicles, against 3267 units in the corresponding period last year.
Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director of Sales and Service, Marketing at Ford Indian said: “Despite ongoing business challenges faced by the Indian automotive industry, Ford India sales have held steady in April.” “In the run up to the formation of the next government, we remain watchful and cautious in anticipation of progressive policy interventions to energize the Indian automotive sector.”
