Ford Motor Company, the well known US automobile firm, turned the first car manufacturer to become a part of the voluntary greenhouse gas reporting proposal, which was set up in India in recent times.
The company has been quite accommodating and engaging in contributing their help to the said cause.
The auto manufacturer is a part of similar plans in different other nations, i.e. USA, China, Canada, Mexico, Argentina in addition to Brazil.
The firm has placed an objective to lessen CO2 emissions by around 30% per vehicle within the next twelve year period (2025) at all its worldwide plants, comprising the 2 in the city of Chennai in India.
With the aim to attain this objective, the firm has taken a variety of actions in voluntary coverage and preserving overall intelligibility.
The firm’s Director of the Environmental Quality Office Andy Hobbs stated, “The auto maker is happy to be the primary firm to take part in the voluntary India greenhouse emission reporting plan. We hope for sharing our awareness and aiding to set up greenhouse gas reporting in the country.”
The program in the country is a joint attempt between the World Resources Institute, The Energy and Resources Institute as well as Confederation of Indian Industry.
As the first car manufacturer to become part of this plan, the company will help in setting up greenhouse gas stocks, which are demonstrable and realistic.
