Ford’s reign in India is still unable countering the competition, minus the heavy success of EcoSport. Proving worsen results for the company once again, Ford Fiesta classic diesel is recalled in India.
Over 3000 units are recalled of the lot produced between October 2010 and December 2011 in the manufacturing unit of Maraimalai Nagar, near Chennai. As per the official report, Ford’s sedan was said to be planted with the faulty glow plugs.
The recall has been uttered in the issue of customer’s safety and satisfaction. This issue was highlighted after a problem came to the limelight with that part. In the recall, company has said to replace it with the waterproof version of Glow Plug Control Module that will be free of cost.
Ford India these days is busy writing letters to the owners of those cars from the lot requesting them for a visit to the nearest Ford dealership to get the replacement done.
Since, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers commenced voluntary recall for safety-related lacking in July 2012, more than seven lakh vehicles have been called-back of various manufacturers, with names sprucing in the list like Honda, Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, General Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Ford.
