Ford India sale is on the bunging spree as its EcoSport finds good responses in the market. Talking them specifically in numbers, Ford India recorded 83 percent increase in sales during April, 2014 – sold 13,297 vehicles (inclusive of domestic and exports) during the month. Last year on the same note, it delivered only 7,270 units to customers, apparently due to lack of excitement in the product line.
Domestic sales stood at 6,651 vehicles in April, up 66 percent from 4,003 vehicles; while the company exported 6,646 vehicles, against 3,267 units in the corresponding period last year.
“Despite on-going business challenges faced by Indian automotive industry, Ford India sales have held steady in April,” said Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India. “In the run up to the formation of the next Government, we remain cautious and watchful in anticipation of progressive policy interventions to energize the Indian automotive sector.”
Ford too introduced the 2014 Endeavour facelift last month in order to mark muscular beginning of FY. The new SUV of Ford is majorly changed on front with regards to front grille, bumper and headlamps. Prices starts at Rs.19,83,898 ex-showroom Delhi.
“Ford Endeavour is a trusted nameplate and holds a special place in Ford India’s product portfolio. It has remained a vehicle of choice for customers who desire a dependable, muscular, rugged yet comfortable and safe SUV,” added Piparsania.
