Hero Motocorp will launch BS6 version of their successful bikes which won several awards, Hero Xpulse 200. Hero Xpulse 200 Adventure bike was launched last year and it did well. Hero Motocorp is now all set to launch BS6 version of Hero Xpulse 200, Ahead of its launch Hero MotoCorp has revealed the specifications of the BS6 XPulse and like many other BS6 models, Hero Xpulse 200 too makes a little less power than the BS4 model.
Hero MotoCorp has confirmed that it will launch the BS6 Xpulse 200T and Xtreme 200S soon. Both motorcycles are expected to be powered by the same fuel-injected BS6 engine that debuted in the Xpulse 200, the company’s adventure motorcycle. The 200T is in fact, the urban touring version of the Xpulse and it was only a matter of time before Hero updated the ‘T’ to BS6. The Hero Xtreme 200S, on the other hand, is the sportier version of the Xtreme 200R street naked, though The company revealed the specification of Hero Xpulse 200.
The specifications of the BS6 Hero XPulse 200 have been revealed and like many other two-wheelers, the motorcycle loses some of its power output in its transition from a BS4 model to a BS6 model. The BS6 Hero XPulse 200 makes 17.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and has a peak torque output of 16.4 Nm at 4,500 rpm. In comparison, the BS4 XPulse 200 made 18 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The kerb weight of the BS6 XPulse is now 157 kg, which is 3 kg heavier than the BS4 model. Earlier, the XPulse could be bought with either a carburetted engine or a fuel-injected engine, but the BS6 model is only available with fuel injection.
Hero MotoCorp is yet to reveal the prices of the BS6 Hero XPulse 200 but we believe the prices will increase by up to ₹ 10,000. The BS4 model with FI was priced at ₹ 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the BS4 model with a carburetted engine was priced at ₹ 99,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
