Honda Cars India Ltd posts 16% sales increase with 5,508 vehicle units sold in September 2012

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has registered a growth of around 16 per cent in its sales during the last month (September 2012) as against the same month of the corresponding year (September 2011).

During September 2012, Honda Cars India Ltd sold 5508 vehicle units whilst they company sold 4758 vehicle units during September last year.

Taking the period of six months into consideration (April to September 2012), the company had sold 35,440 vehicle units whereas this number remained at 24,191 vehicle units during September 2011 resulting in an exceptional increase of about 47 per cent.

During the last month, the company sold 2815vehicle units of its popular model City, 2064 vehicle units of Brio, 556 vehicle units of Jazz, 47 vehicle units of Civic, 223 units of Accord in addition to 3 vehicle units of Honda CR-V.

In addition, HMIL made declaration about increase in its vehicle rates that came into effect from October 1, 2012 onwards.
