Enjoying the fanfare of Amaze for last one month, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) had clocked the highest ever domestic monthly sales in May 2013, as had rolled out 11,342 units in the bespoken period. Terming the growth of 9.8% HCIL had sold 10,334 units in the same period of last year.
“We have started the financial year on a good note and would look to build on this positive trend in our new phase of growth in the country. Our success can be attributed to our attractive product portfolio and Honda brand promise of technology, performance and efficiency.
We expanded our operating universe with the new Honda Amaze which continues to receive great response from the first time buyers and consumers looking for a family car,” said Mr. JnaneswarSen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing &Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. while speaking about the bright performance of his company.
That’s not all; HCIL had also exported 738 units during May 2013. Hence we must say, newly launched Amaze is the biggest share holder amongst all, as just had taken up the flagship City by double the numbers. Even the newly launched variant of Brio is also posing a serious threat to the various competitor’s attempts.
Mentioned below is the strategic break up of May 2013 sales, giving a clear picture of the Honda’s upward rising graph.
