Honda CR-V SUV that once used to rule the roads during petrol times – was killed when diesel started to take over the reign against the rising prices of petrol – is now reported of getting launched in India once again in the facelift avatar by next year. Don’t need to be stumped, Honda continues to sell that SUV on our shores, and will bring a diesel version this time with a new face for either of the fuel-trims.
CR-V facelift that debuted at 2014 Paris Motor Show is blessed with lower suspension, razor-sharp alloy wheels and protection guard on front bumper. All of them are majorly supported by new front grille, slimmer bumper and other fluencies. There can some visual differences between international version and the one that is going to be launched in India.
On the diesel side, CR-V facelift is expected to gain a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine delivering 118bhp of max power with all the traction being sent to front wheels. Petrol will continue to do with the existing displacement. Since, the diesel launch of Amaze has imprinted name of Honda in the list of most fuel-efficient cars, fuel-economy this time will be on the heads of engineers before ringing up the launch dates.
Hence, till the confirmation arrives we treat this piece of new as a generation from rumour mill.
