Honda has begun the preparation for launching the Honda HR-V SUV in India. No date as yet has been announced for the launch, but it seems it would happen sometime this year.
It is most likely that the car would get launched sometime around Diwali. The HR-V launch has already been delayed because of the limited number of localized components, but now the company has given it a go ahead and the car would sit between the CR-V and the BR-V in Honda’s line-up.
As far as specs are concerned, the Indian HR-V is likely to come with a 1.8-litre petrol engine similar to the one seen in Civic which would e mated to a 6-speed CVT gearbox. A 1.6-litre diesel variant could also be offered.
