Just like MPVs in India, international markets build wagon out of the hatchbacks or a sedan to get a new application of the model for utility. Honda no exception to such a trend is making a wagon on the platform of new Jazz, says the spy-shots.
This is a fourth model on the platform of Jazz after the Jazz hatchback, City sedan and Vezel SUV.
Speaking about the wagon from its cosmetic point of view, the Solid Wing appearance of the front grille is hereditary. Headlamps, door mirrors and front windows seem to have straightly lifted from Jazz. Moving towards the rear, the tapered roofline and wraparound tail lamps resembles the Civic Tourer sold in Europe.
Hence, such ergonomics seen will allow the vehicle to offer a spacious boot.
Markets like China and Japan are on its spearhead. Engines like 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre petrol are suitable for the home country of Honda (Japan). A hybrid may also make way to the list soon looking down to the rising demands in these markets with a dual-clutch transmission.
No plans for Honda to launch this wagon India. The reason, there is no demand for such cars in the country and often fails to attract buyers despite being heavy on the utility than sedans and MPVs.
