Honda is preparing two new SUV’s for India. One those will be a sub four meter one and the other is most likely be a Hyundai Creta rival. Both the SUV’s will likely be launched by 2020.
Both the SUV’s will be underpinned by the same platform and will use Honda’s existing engines and transmissions. While the larger SUV could get the City’s 1.5-litre petrol engine, the compact SUV will get the 1.2-litre petrol engine from the Amaze. The new models will also be offered with a diesel engine option.
The sub four meter SUV will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon, while the bigger one will compete for market space with the Hyundai Creta.
