Bajaj Auto recently showcased the Swedish brand Husqvarna in Goa. Husqvarna showcased the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 during the event and is now all set to add a third model to its Indian market portfolio.
Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 are based on KTM, same as the 250s, the Svartpilen 200 shares many of its components with a KTM. It uses the same 200cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected liquid-cooled motor as the 200 Duke that makes 26hp, mated to this DOHC engine is a 6-speed gearbox. Other mechanicals like the suspension and brakes remain similar too. the Svartpilen 200 shares its frame with the 250cc Husqvarnas and KTMs, and not the 200 Duke. The Svartpilen 200 uses a bolt-on subframe.
The Svartpilen 200 also shares its alloy wheels, body panels, and LED lighting with the Svartpilen 250. The motorcycle features an under-belly exhaust as compared to the 250 that features a side-mounted exhaust. The Svartpilen 200 is expected to be priced at roughly Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Svartpilen 200 is a scrambler-style motorcycle that features a bulky tank, eight-spoke alloy wheels, and dual purpose tyres. The Vitpilen 250 on the other hand, is a cafe racer styled motorcycle that shares most of its body work with the Svartpilen.
