FIFA World Cup 2014 has held the breathe of football buffs throughout the globe for its most talked about opening ceremony followed by the further matches, where on the other side Hyundai is getting ready for the players to not let them face any nuances, not at least in their mode of transportation within the Brazil.
Hyundai Motor Company delivered 1,021 premium sedans, SUVs and vans to be used as official tournament transportation, and decorated 32 official national team buses with the slogans of the ‘Be there with Hyundai’ competition.
Hyundai Motor Company is the official partner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
All the vehicles were delivered to the official authorities at a ceremony held at Arena de Sao Paulo, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The delivered fleet was included of model plates like Equus, Genesis, Azera, Santa Fe, Sonata, Tucson (ix35), Veloster, H1, H100 and Brazil-exclusive HB20.
“We are proud to partner with FIFA for this exciting football event. We believe that our football engagement has been playing a vital role in connecting global customers to our brand,” William Lee, President of Hyundai Motor Brasil (HMB), said in his welcome remarks to VIPs today. “In particular, we will do our best to make the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™one of the most spectacular FIFA World Cup games in history. We are deeply committed to Brazil, home to one of our most modern manufacturing plants that produces our Brazil-exclusive and award-winning HB20.”
“A flawless transport operation is critical to the success of the FIFA World Cup,” said FIFA’s Secretary, General Jérôme Valcke. “We are delighted to have the support of our Partner Hyundai Motor, who’s provision of the fleet of vehicles ensures that all event participants, and crucially the teams, travel in style and comfort.”
The 32 team buses are vibrantly decorated with national team colours, flags and the winning slogans of the ‘Be There With Hyundai’ competition. Furthermore, a specially-decorated Grand Santa Fe is reported to be escorting each of these buses to make the branding more apprehensive as the Santa Fe is the brand’s flagship SUV model.
That’s not all; the delivery of vehicles will not lead the Hyundai to dust off his hands against the responsibilities for being an official partner of the grand football event. In fact, Korean carmaker is also guided to operate a complete Service Team at all World Cup Stadiums and FIFA facilities for ensuring the best service support and assistance to drivers and fleet of cars during the entire schedule. Over 1,000 drivers are trained by Prior HMB’s Service Team to get them well-versed with each of the models and also learn the techniques to get the lowest possible maintenance bill, safe driving techniques and last but last but not the least – the routes. Beyond the service support, drivers can also depend on Hyundai Motor’s nation-wide dealer network for dedicated support.
