South Korean automaker finally pulled off the wraps of its much-awaited SUV Hyundai Creta today for the Indian market. Offered in 11 variants across four trims, its price ranges between Rs. 8.59 lakhs – Rs. 13.60 lakhs. The vehicle will be compete with Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Mahindra Scorpio, Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster.
The all-new Hyundai Creta will be available with three engine choices – 1.4 liter that’s good for 89 horsepower with 200 newton meters of torque; CRDI 1.6 liter that generates 126 horsepower with 260 newton meters and VTVT 1.6 liter that produces 121 horsepower with 155 newton meters. The 1.6 liter diesel engine can be paired with either six-speed automatic or manual transmission, whereas the 1.6 liter and 1.4 liter will be mated to six-speed manual transmission.
As far as fuel economy is concerned, the Hyundai Creta gets some impressive figures in its segment: 1.6-litre Petrol (15.29Km/l); 1.6-litre Diesel MT (19.67Km/l); 1.6-litre Diesel AT (17.01Km/l) and 1.4-litre Diesel (21.38Km/l). The Creta S+ adds all the features of S, along with rear parking sensors, driver & passenger airbags, impact sensing auto-door unlock, rear parking camera, touch-screen audio video navigation system and 16-inch silver alloy wheels.
Opting for the Creta SX will get you features offered on S+ and cornering lamps, Bi-function projector head-lamps, dual tone radiator grille, LED positioning lamps, metallic door scuff plates, chrome finish rear garnish, electrically foldable outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs), automatic air-conditioning with mood change bar, auto up-down safety power windows and rear wiper and washer.
The Creta SX+ adds the features of SX, in addition to chrome-finish outside door handles, Child seat anchor (with automatic variant), smart key with push-button start, 60:40 split rear seat (with automatic variant) and leather-finished gear-lever knob (with automatic variant).
