Hyundai getting aggressive with the launch of its i20 Active, sends the rendering of same via its official account for hinting the launch to happen soon in March 2015. Though, the date is not specified, but huge speculations goes with the event taking place in next month for the Elite i20 Active to stand against Toyota Etios Cross, Fiat Avventura, and VW Cross Polo.
Fluidic design language will be the major tool of Hyundai to hunt down rivals in the segment. For instance, some days back clear spy shots revealed, front grille will see a nimble change along with the bumper, fog lamps and more. A skid plate lures the front fascia to give a feel of a crossover from outside, which the plastic cladding sides also mimicking the same. Raised height, or ground clearance, is just expected from a vehicle of this category, otherwise all the done efforts may turn vague. However, the pricing of i20 Active is bound to be premium than the standard model, and will be positioned as a lifestyle product not a mass seller instead.
Well, going by the spy images there weren’t any signs of spare wheel mounted on tail gate, not even in the rendering it is motioned, missing out the most loved quotient for Indians from the i20 Cross. Hence, this must be brought to the notice of designers and shall be turned into reality, even as an accessory if not possible in the standard guise.
