Hyundai i20 Elite finally launched in India after a brouhaha over the spy-shots and rendered images for the past some days.
Priced at Rs 4.89 lakh for the starting petrol variant, the Hyundai hatchback comes in four variants for diesel and petrol trims.
Under the hoods of a diesel i20 Elite there comes loaded a 1.4L U2 CRDi engine of 89 bhp whereas the petrol option comes equipped with a 1.2L Kappa2 engine worth of 81 bhp of power. Gasoline engine is married to a five-speed manual transmission, whereas the diesel is crabbed with a six-speed manual.
On the changed front, the new car is loaded with automatic headlamps, auto foldable ORVMs, parking sensors and parking camera on rear, and lots more. Designed on the Fluidic Sculpture 2 plethora, the i20 Elite will compete Volkswagen Polo facelift, Fiat Punto Evo, Maruti Swift and others in the pricey hatchback segment.
To make it more profitable at the moment, automaker too revealed a longer version of the i20 Elite for Europe market, which will be unveiled at 2014 Paris Motor Show.
