Looks like South Korean car maker Hyundai has started testing the next generation i20, because the test prototype of the car has been spotted testing by a local site.
If we talk about the domestic zone, the i20 is the company’s top-selling vehicle, but as the saying in the auto world goes ‘an automobile can die if not updated timely’.
And Hyundai has always been a believer of this philosophy. There is no denial as to how after design and features transformation, making Hyundai Verna and Elantra the revenue generators of the company.
Changes visible include a much better side profile with synchronized fluidic design, extended length etc. features like push start button, reverse camera, rain sensing wipers and day-night rear view mirrors were on the car.
Hyundai is also developing the i10 next generation (codename BA), a i10 Sedan based, compact SUV all based on the i10 platform next generation and more. So expectations for a completely new look is definitely on.
As per reports, “The said vehicle is likely to hit streets by the coming year (2014), and will appear as a 2015 model. Whilst the new generation Hyundai i20 appears to have obtained a more retentive wheelbase, it is doubtful that the total length of the vehicle will surpass 4 metres. The existing model measures 3,995 millimeter, which entails that the upcoming vehicle might not be longer as compared the present car.”
