Hyundai India has had a mixed run during the month of July this year. The company claims to have sold a total of 29,275 units which is more 24.7 percent than what it sold during the same period last year. But on the export front, the company has witnessed a slide compared to July 2014. This year in July the company had exported only 13,908 units while last year in the very same month it had exported 18,739 units. This means on the export front Hyundai India have registered a decrease of 25.8 percent. In total the company registered only 5 percent growth in sales, selling a total of 50,408 units compared to 48,014 units sold in July 2014.
Hyundai officials attributed this growth to the customers’ love towards the newly launched Creta SUV and other products like the i20 Active, and Elite i20. Officials also hope that in the coming days Creta sales will take the growth figure even higher.
We also think that with the recent launches and the launches that are lined up, Hyundai will manage to take a much larger share of the Indian automobile market in the days to come.
