Hyundai ix35 Planned For India, Launch In 2018: Rumours

Hyundai’s plan for India is getting bigger with every passing day. The ix35 crossover available internationally may soon get launched in this country, says a report, to rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and others of the same category.

Hyundai ix35 is based on Tucson platform.

Hyundai in India has mostly remained the mass seller with its hatchbacks, small cars and sedans, but hasn’t proved an aggressive move in the most profitable category of these days – SUV. On the name of such a segment, the Korean carmaker offers only Santa Fe, with nothing in between the second model to it in the lineup with regards to the terms of pricing. After all, the ix25 compact SUV was also rumoured in process to reach India before this festive season (August-September), yet nothing concrete happened.

However, as per the specification, ix35 is available in 2WD and 4WD combined with automatic and manual gearboxes on the floor of international markets, where it isn’t decided which of them will make to this country.

Hyundai ix35 Planned For India Launch In 2018

Well, the engine of 1.6L petrol, 1.7L and 2.0L diesel are up for the grabs, where we believe the biggest of them must make its way to counter the speedily revving motor of Mahindra XUV500.

Anyways, the launch is still a distant watch; if happened, one couldn’t see the silver lining in air anytime before 2018.
