2014 FIFA World Cup enticed end number of eye galore around the world, and this time being hosted in Brazil, the holy place of football, excitement is increasing with the passing day. Hopefully, the marketing managers of brands are eager to queue their products on a right spearhead of the event. Leaving no exceptions on ground, the automakers are in great demand for the sponsorships.
Naming a one out of the whole, Hyundai, an official FIFA partner, launched the 2014 FIFA World Cup special editions of ix35 and i30. The FIFA edition is available in two trims Go! and Go! SE.
Both models features styling enhancements with respect to FIFA World Cup, including distinctive and dynamic Go! badging.
ix35 is made available in two colors: Creamy White and Phantom Black, whereas the i30 comes in Creamy White, Sleek Silver and Steel Grey.

Under the hoods of football world cup edition, Hyundai planted a 1.7 CRDi diesel engine, with 2WD transmission and six-speed manual gearbox on Hyundai compact SUV.
Hyundai ix35 Go! adds £1,540 of additional equipment for £650 price premium with the features like 18” alloy wheels, panorama sunroof and privacy glass. On the flipside, ix35 Go! SE is based on the well-equipped ix35 Premium Panorama, encompassing features like heated steering wheel, front parking sensors and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System with individual low tyre pressure warning. Price of Go! SE is tagged at £650 less than the model on which it is based, while adding more than £800 in specification.
In common, both the trims of special edition ix35 will feature black gloss door mirrors and Go! badges on the door pillars. It is confirmed only 550 units of the ix35 Go! will be made available for a price of £20,750 OTR. Meanwhile, only 150 units of the ix35 Go! SE will be rolled out in showrooms for £23,000 OTR.
Coming to the other one, i30 Go! SE and Go! SE Panorama editions – they are derived from the 5-door hatchback. The Go! SE features 1.4 100PS petrol and the 1.6 CRDi 110PS diesel derivatives from £16,000 OTR, whilst the Go! SE Panorama uses the 1.6 120PS Petrol and the 1.6 CRDi 110PS diesel variants being priced from £17,300 OTR. Both of the models meant to grudge the traction from a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Likewise the ix35, the Go! SE and Go! SE Panorama models will enjoy the drive with Go! Badge, alloy wheels, electric folding black gloss exterior door mirrors with integral LED indicators, privacy glass, anti-trap mechanism on all electric windows and LED tail lights. The Go! SE Panorama benefits from panoramic sunroof and 17” alloy wheels.
Both these editions will show the sponsorship of Hyundai Motor to the world at the international football event. Just to remind, Hyundai’s partnership with FIFA was initiated in 1999 and is documented to continue till 2022.
