South Korea-based renowned car manufacture Hyundai has announced the launch of the 2013 Santa Fe sports utility vehicle (SUV) in China, and confirmed that the new vehicle will also be launched in India in the coming months.
In China, the 2013 Santa Fe has been made available in dual petrol engine choices that comprise a two litre turbo plus 2.4 litre naturally aspirated petrol engines.
The new SUV’s 2.4-liter petrol engine is just like one that is found under the hood of the company’s existing luxury sedan Hyundai Sonata in the domestic market. Both the 2-litre turbo and 2.4-litre petrol engines come accompanied by six pace mechanical transmission as standard in China.
However, we should not expect the Indian versions of the new SUV to come with the same mechanical equipment as the China based edition because Indian consumers demand diesel vehicles to a greater extent, and the manufacturer has an option to make use of the retuned 2.2-litre diesel turbo engine.
Plus, India motorists give more preference to manual transmission over the Automatic Transmission (AT). Thus, we can imagine that the manufacturer can launch the new SUV in both Manual as well as AT versions in India.
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe has received the company’s patented fluidic sculpture that gave the new vehicle greater looks. Within the compartment, it received a brand new dashboard design as well. The material utilized for the inside portions is more lavish and superior than before.
