Hyundai Santa Fe spied while testing

It can be said that Hyundai is putting in all its efforts to make the Santa Fe a perfect car in all aspects before it is launched. Given an option, the engineers of the company could have taken a back seat looking at the launch date of the car knocking at the door, while on the contrary it is seen that they are still busy testing the Santa Fe on the road. They are making sure that they leave no room for error, which would eventually ensure customer satisfaction. The new Santa Fe is the third generation, and it was caught testing on one of the highways that link Bangalore and Chennai.

Since the car was taken for a long distance run, the car was probably being tested for its fuel-efficiency. The new SUV was said to maintain a constant speed of about 80-90kmph on the highway. Looking at the car from the front, it is sure that the car was designed to have imposing force on the roads. Currently, it has not been confirmed if the Indian market will be seeing the long wheelbase or the short wheelbase, though there are higher chances of the short wheelbase in the Indian market.

Though the projector headlamps, foglamps and the grille of the Santa Fe is new, it does slightly resemble its predecessor. India will get the Santa Few powered by a 2.2 litre CRDi, diesel engine which is capable of producing up to 195bhp, while the European market will get a petrol variant of the SUV. Buyers of the car will also have the option of choosing between manual and automatic transmissions.
