VW Virtus Teased Ahead Its Global Debut
Volkswagen has confirmed the launch of the Virtus as Vento’s successor.
The Virtus is said to be bigger in dimensions than the Vento, the Virtus will be built on the MQB A0 IN platform like the Skoda Slavia.
The sedan will share the powertrain with the VW Taigun, it will come powered by a 1.0 & 1.5 L turbo petrol engine. It will get a 6-Speed Manual, Torque Converter Automatic & a 7-Speed DSG automatic with the 1.5 L engine.
VW will launch the Virtus in India by may, however, it will make its global debut on 8th March. The Sedan will rival the likes of Honda City, Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna.

Tata Launches Kaziranga Edition Of Their SUVs
Celebrating its leadership position in the SUV segment, Tata Motors recently launched a special edition of their SUVs, the Kaziranga Edition.
The Kaziranga edition features a special golden paint job with black alloy wheels. On the fenders the SUV gets a satin black Rhino mascot, to highlight the uniqueness of the special edition. Further, the dashboard panel gets a wooden finish to bring the aesthetics of the Kaziranga park inside the cabin. To complement the wooden finish, the interior gets a dual-tone layout of earthy beige and granite black, along with the rhino mascot embroidered on the headrests.
The Kaziranga special edition is available with the Punch, the Nexon, the Harrier & the Safari.

Facelifted Baleno Launched At Rs 6.35 Lakhs
Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted Baleno this week at a price of Rs 6.35 Lakhs for the base variant and Rs 9.49 Lakhs ( ex-showroom) for the top-end variant.
The new Baleno gets a wider front design language, with a wider grille and headlamps than before. It also gets amazing segment-first features like the heads-up display, 360-degree camera, flat-bottom steering wheel, 9.0” touch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
It is still powered by the same old 1.2 L four-cylinder petrol engine, making 90 HP & 113 Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 5-Speed Manual or 5-Speed AMT automatic transmission.

Mahindra offers a subscription model on selective vehicles
Mahindra has partnered with Quiklyz to offer the subscription model on their vehicle lineup. This model is available in eight cities, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad & Chennai. The subscription model can be availed either online or via dealerships.
Mahindra says, they understand the growing and changing needs of the young consumers of the automobile market. Hence they are offering flexible ownership models for a hassle free ownership experience.

Renault India Sells 1 Lakh Units of Triber
Renault India has just achieved the milestone of selling 1 Lakh units of the Triber, since its launch in 2019.
Renault states that the Triber has been an instrumental part of the brand’s growth in India and it has been a steady seller because of its price range and safety rating from Global NCAP. It gets a 4-Star safety rating for adults & a 3-Star child occupant safety rating from the Global NCAP.

Mahindra Electric Vehicles Cross the Milestone Of 400 Million Kilometres
Mahindra Electric Mobility recently shared their achievement of crossing the milestone of 400 million kilometres. Mahindra claims that this is equivalent to saving 40,000 metric tonnes of CO2, which otherwise would have been achieved by planting 18.5 Lakh new trees.
The brand is currently working on expanding its EV lineup, by working on vehicles like the KUV 100 & the XUV 300.
