Audi will be launching a new racer in the 7th VLN endurance race which is scheduled on 4th August 2012. This time an Indian boy named Aditya Patel will be driving Audi R8 LMS Ultra in this race. As a part of his participation, he had completed the testing in the 6 hour ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen. For the 7th VLN endurance race Patel will be pairing with Marco Werner the three-time Le Mans winner.
Recently in the month of May, Patel with his brilliant performance won the 40th edition of the 24 Hours ADAC Nurburgring driving for the Pro-Handicap E.V. team. By this, Patel had not only created a history of becoming the first Indian to win this race but also he is the first Indian ever to participate in this race.
Audi R8 LMS Ultra has been modified technically and structurally as compared to its predecessor. Now the vehicle is about 40kg lighter with 500Nm of torque. It has now more improved aerodynamics, superior brake cooling and wider front wheels.
After his historic win, Patel exclaimed that he was so excited about the race that it was just the starting line before his eyes at the Nurburgring. He is confident about his coming race with the superb car Audi R8 LMS Ultra and expert partnership of the legendary Macro Werner. About the car he further added that it is more powerful with a fantastic balance and is incredibly stable around the corners.
As an instructor with Audi Sportscar experience Patel will be present at the next session at the Buddha International circuit in Greater Noida which is going to be held on 24th, 25th and 26th of August 2012.
