Isuzu is in the hot list of our auto fraternity as had recently opened bookings for its new roll outs in India.
To make things more easier, this carmaker had decided to open its plant in India, and also to gain its stronger foothold, more launches are expected to happen soon in near future. Sri City of Andhra Pradesh is selected for its upcoming facility, till then all the makes will be imported from Thai manufacturing bay via CKD route.
As of now, SUV MU-7 and the D-Max pickups are being offered in Indian cities of Coimbatore and Hyderabad. The automaker will continue to use Hindustan Motrors’ assembling unit for completing those imported CKD kits, until the factory starts in 2016.
In spite of doing a late entry in market, Isuzu is betting heavily on SUV and LCV segment for future where it is doing very well in the likes of Indian market. Setting clear goals from now itself, an annual target of 80,000 vehicles is tabbed for local boundaries whilst of 40,000 for export sectors.
Isuzu is ready to pump in Rs. 1,500 crore on the acquired land of 4.3 lakh sq.metre; must say that India is still on the verge of shining!
