After the launch of Jaguar F-Type convertible, F-Type coupe is now in the hype of media which is said to get launched by next year or so. The recent spy shots of same at Nürburgring, and also some of them being spied in July at New York (USA), the spies now again had seen it testing in States (specifically at new Jersey). The pictures sent by them, which had been posted on our blog, confirm the story at its best.
Nothing seen much to be changed cosmetically (except the roof), the technical powertrain will be borrowed by the convertible sibling itself.
The engine bay will be lugged by the metal sprucing options of 3.0-liter V6 with 340PS of power, a mildly stirred 3.0-liter V6 S producing 380PS, and the range toppling 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 495PS of power.
All engines are said to be mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
For conclusion, the engineers at R&D make the side-beam stronger in convertible version than the coupe to hold back the strength of car rigidly when the roof is dropped. As a result, a lot of weight is added on the board and also the performance of vehicle gets downsized by some notches. In return, the hard top will be lighter in price as well as in weight than the soft top, so just wait till the launch to compare both the bugs at the point of regarded technicalities.
