The Jaguar F-Type has just taken its first dynamic challenge outside the Jaguar’s internal development program. The test run was driven by three world renowned drivers – Christian Danner, Justin Bell and Martin Brundle, who put both 380 PS V6 and 495 PS V8 prototypes for its test run.
In the cold and challenging condition of UK’s Snetterton 300 circuit, the three international drivers and television personals from UK, Germany and USA experienced the full potential of Jaguar F-Type.
Chief engineer Vehicle Integrity, Jaguar, Mike Cross witnessed the efforts. He is the man who directed the teams to work efficiently to ensure that F-TYPE produces a true sports car experience. Speaking on the occasion he said it was a fascinating day and the whole team behind the F-TYPE development program was focused on delivering a true sports car driving experience. He further adds that witnessing the three drivers putting the machine on the track was really great.
Although The Prototype Jaguar F-TYPE S and F-TYPE V8 S were camouflaged but fully represented the intentions of the production from its powertrain and dynamic perspective. The 380 PS FTYPE S can reach from 0-60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and 0-100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds and has electronically restricted top speed of about 171 mph (275 kmph). The F-TYPE V8 S can reach from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and 0-100 kmph in 4.3 seconds and has electronically restricted top speed of 186 mph or 300 kmph. Both of these vehicles feature all aluminum construction, active exhaust system and adaptive dynamic suspension.
