After much speculation Jeep has finally launched the off-road capable Compass Trailhawk at Rs.26.8 Lakhs, which is about Rs.3.7 lakhs more than the previous range topping Jeep Compass version.

The Compass Trailhawk comes with the same 173hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel Multijet II engine which is found in the entire Jeep Compass range, but this time it is BS6 compliant and comes mated to a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
On the outside, the car sees certain design changes to make it suitable for off-roading. For instance, it gets increased ground clearance, increased water wading depth, 4×4 drive system, hill descent control and a rock mode for selec terrain system.
The Compass Trailhawk shares almost all of its safety and comfort features with the Compass Limited Plus and additionally gets 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
