Very few of us know India too hosts its drag race. All thanks to JK Tyre for concluding the FMSCI Indian National Drag Racing Championship (INDRC) at Kari Motor Speedway.
In this year’s edition, Joel Joseph of Bangalore and Rizwan from Hunzur (Karnataka) made a score of double each in the couple of rounds.
Joseph marked his dominance in the four-wheeler category, claiming the title of unrestricted classes as well as Indian Open.
Inside the first-generation Honda City i-VTEC (petrol), he managed to rope in the distance of quarter-mile in just 15.466s for the Indian Open class. But he improved to 15.381s over the run of unrestricted category.
On the other side, Rizwan Khan with his Yamaha R1 worked out his mettle in two wheeler category, claiming his win in both the rounds of unrestricted category.
