In the year 2019, we saw South Korean auto manufacturer Kia making its entry into the Indian Market. Kia entered the Indian market with their mid-size SUV Kia Seltos. Kia Seltos has done remarkably well in terms of sales since its launch. Kia Seltos emerged as the best selling SUV. Now, Kia Motors have announced their second product for India which is an MPV named Kia Carnival.
Kia Carnival MPV India launch is slated to take place soon. It will come with multiple seating options and will rival Toyota Innova. Ahead of that, the booking for Kia Carnival has started unofficially. Few dealers have confirmed that the booking for Kia Carnival is on at most locations, with the booking amount ranging between Rs 51,000 to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the dealership. Nothing is officially confirmed by the manufacturer.
The model will most likely be offered with a long list of features, like captain seats with extendable leg rests, rear-seat entertainment packages with 10.1-inch screens, a large sunroof and power adjustable seats. Kia will also offer its UVO connectivity suite on the Carnival.The Carnival is expected to come with a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine that’s good for 202hp and is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. There are also talks of a 6-speed manual version, as the gearbox is available on the MPV sold abroad.
Kia’s second offering for India, Kia Carnival, will be a premium MPV and will be priced between Rs 25 Lakhs to Rs 30 Lakhs. Some of the sources say that customers who have booked Seltos are being offered the option of upgrading their booking to Carnival.
