Don’t you see it coming from an era dating 4-decades back…its’ true, the Lada planned to give its 37-year old off-roader Niva an urban looks with minute nip and tucks that is ultimately dubbed as “Lada Niva Urban”!
The changes can be spotted on the front grille, body-colored plastic bumpers on front and rear and plastic hubcaps for upsized 17-inch wheels. The changes made to the cabin cannot be figured in details but was mentioned – the power-steering and air-conditioning will be standard whereas more sound deadening material to be plugged in.
Under its slab hoods the Lada Niva Urban continues to host a 80hp 1.7-liter four-cylinder engine sending power to all the wheels, capable enough to get 62 mph from a halt in 16 seconds alongside a top speed of 85 mph.
A LPG variant will be made available for extra cost. Hence, more details will be flowing in about Lada Niva Urban at the upcoming 2014 Moscow Motor Show.
