Lamborghini Huracan made its global debut recently at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and barely after a week, it was shipped to India for a private preview for a selected set of customers. The event was held on last weekend at Four Seasons Hotel, Worli, Mumbai. However, the media personnel weren’t allowed to covert that event; but we still managed to slick out some of the snaps from the venue, thanks to our team sources that helped us in doing so.
It remains a well-known fact AutocarIndia spotted the Huracan getting unloaded at the Mumbai Airport, in black paint shade covered in the packaging material flaps. The same was been previewed to the customers at the private preview event of Mumbai, which is said to be followed throughout the nation in the coming months.
For the informative bit, those who are not a regular automotive buff, the Lamborghini discontinued producing Gallardo, instead came up with the Huracan, which is of more rounded edged unlikely to the sharp corners of its successors. It seems that conventional looks of the new Lamborghini is planted to make it as a daily office going cars as well, despite being the racetrack metal.
Power to it comes from a 5.2-litre V10 engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch box with traction provided on all the wheels. Power output is 610 hp at 8250 rpm with a peak torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of more than 325kmph.
Hence, Lamborghini had stated to price it for Rs 3.50 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi) plus taxes, when it will be launched in the month of July-2014.
