Lamborghini Huracan unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, as a replacement to Gallardo. Launched at 169,500 Euro, excluding taxes, production is reported to take place by end of March 2014, at the hometown Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy.
The Automobili Lamborghini has stated it to be the next big thing from their factory meant to be registered in the golden pages of automobile history.
To please it further, Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini claimed Huracan to also be used as a car of daily use, which can be taken to office and elsewhere too.
Confirming the engine details, Lamborghini did this job with a 5.2 liter V10 delivering 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. With its power-to-weight ratio of just 2.33 kilograms per hp it achieves breathtaking performance figures, where in numerical terms it can be expressed as zero to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds, zero to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds and the top speed of 325 km/h. Traction is said to be provided on all the four wheels, whereas the 7-speed dual clutch transmission and that latest Stop & Start technology has engulfed it to return fuel economy of 12.5 liters per 100 km (290 g CO2 per km). On the braking front, ceramic discs are standard for all of the Huracans. In addition, the three different driving modes planted are promised to give its owners an ample of pleasure for owning it, and also pumping the right foot hard on the pedal on a racetrack.
Lamborghini offers Huracán in 17 colors, including seven new ones. The flat colors are Bianco Monocerus and Nero Noctis. The metallic tones come with the names Bianco Icarus, Blu Achelous, Grigio Lynx, Grigio Nimbus, Nero Serapis and Rosso Mars. The pearlescent shades are Arancio Borealis, Giallo Midas and Verde Mantis. Also available from the Ad Personam individualization program are the matte paint finishes Bianco Canopus, Giallo Horus, Grigio Titans, Marrone Apus and Nero Nemesis. The metallic colors from Ad Personam – Blu Caelum, Grigio Admetus and Marrone Alcestis – complete the color palette.
